What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that? So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.
Helping others should come naturally to us all. To see someone in need breaks my heart. Many times, we may not be able to give monetarily, we do have other ways to give. I have discussed this in prior posts.
We can give our time, our attention, we can offer resources, we can offer prayer, comfort, empathy, we may be in a position to start a GoFundMe for someone, a fundraiser, the thoughts of helping are endless.
When you require help yourself, you are often overwhelmed, you do not know how you are going to manage. You are in a state of panic. It is hard to see a way out. Pride may take over, you may not ask for help, you might not have anyone to turn to.
Those emotions and situations can be so overwhelming, they can and statistically do, lead to emotional breakdowns, physical pain, drug abuse, alcoholism, divorce, family problems, homelessness, job loss, feelings of hopelessness, and even worthlessness.
Even the strongest of faith have their limits, challenges, struggles, and trials. I am sure at one time or another we have all faced a situation where we could have used a hand up.
I always want and feel the need to do more for others. I find myself in a "savior" mode. I love to pray for others, I love to find resources and solutions to their issues. This has led me to a private group on social media. I need YOUR help.......
"A Smile For You" - Donation Page
This group is a private group of ladies that was established on Facebook. It began as an Amazon Wishlist gifting club. It has now grown into so much more. We have found that our lovely ladies need prayers, emotional assistance, medical assistance, physical, and financial assistance. We encourage all of our lovely ladies to reach out to us in their times of need. Some can not always participate in the Amazon gifting games, therefore, I have decided, with the permission of the group's creator, to ask my kind subscribers to donate via a separate PayPal link through this blog. The funds will NOT be given in cash to any lady in need. She will be given a gift card to assist with groceries, a utility bill, or other needs. Also, we have established additional resources to include, but not limited to, a mentorship program, job listings, local agencies that may be able to offer help, and personal prayers. Our goal is to put a smile on every single one of our special ladies' faces and let them know they are not alone.
I have now added a page for contributions and donations. I ask if you can help, please do!
"Help for Families In Need" - Donation Page
This donation page was established with the intent to help family members that are struggling. A GoFundMe page was not beneficial and was also not private. This is a stretch to ask our subscribers and friends in such a tough time in this world to lend a helping hand, however, I am stepping out on faith and doing so. I am confident that much like myself, I am surrounded by "givers". When one struggles, we all struggle. These donations will be used to help with loved ones in need. Their expenses are such as groceries, utilities, children's needs, etc. Cash will NOT be given. Every donation will be given as a gift card. Your generous donation is also tax-deductible as this is a charitable cause. If you find it in your heart to give monetarily, please do.
Again, I ask if you are unable to at this time to give monetarily, please say a prayer for financial breakthroughs for our loved ones and friends struggling.
They do need prayers, not only financially, but mentally and emotionally too. Financial pressures place stress on the entire household.
If you should know of any resources that may be available for middle-income families that have taken pay cuts during COVID or need just a little help, please send them to me. I release a "resource" list to the lovely ladies as often as possible, to include remote jobs.
Thank you kindly for your generosity.
